The purpose of this study identify what buffering effects protective factor support has on the resilience, and to seek ways to make an intervention through the protective factor that can improve the Resilience.
A structured questionnaire was distributed to the Single Elderly, and 196 answer sheets collected and analyzed. The data was analyzed with PASW 18.0 including frequency analysis, t-test, ANOVA and regression analysis.
In short, the self-esteem and social support exerts positive effect on the Single Elderly depression and stress. If the resilience properly adapts the self-esteem and social support, it will encourage Single Elderly to psychosocial adjustment to the effort of relieving stress and depression.

본 연구의 목적은 홀로된 노인의 적응유연성에 영향을 미치는 보호요인의 조절효과를 밝히는 것이며, 이러한 내용을 밝힘으로써 홀로된 노인의 적응유연성을 향상시킬 수 있는 사회사업적 개입 방안을 모색하는데 있다.
본 연구의 대상은 편의추출방법을 사용하여 서울시에 거주하고 있는 만 65세 이상의 홀로된 노인 196명에게 설문조사를 실시하고, PASW 18.0 을 이용하여 빈도분석과 기술통계분석, 회귀분석을 하였다.
연구결과 홀로된 노인들의 자아존중감은 매우 낮은 것으로 나타났으며, 심리 사회적 측면에서 매우 취약한 사회적 지지를 가진 것으로 조사되었다. 따라서 적응유연성이 낮은 홀로된 노인들이 자신의 처한 환경에 긍정적으로 적응할 수 있도록 대안들을 제언하였다.
