This study analyzed the mismatch in the job market of female college students by using the employment state of female students of Business and Economics at Chungnam National University(CNU). This paper presented the general unemployment state of Korean young people. The actual unemployment rate of Korean young people is 23.1% which is 3 times higher than the official unemployment rate of Korean young people presented by the Korean Statistical Information Service. Even though the employment rate of 4-year college students has recently grown, only the temporary workers have increased. The analysis of female students at CNU showed that the mismatch between demand and supply in the job market of college students is one of the reasons for the high unemployment of college students. The results suggest that the college educations system must be changed for the effective job-seeking mechanism , actual job preparation, job consulting of professor.

이 연구는 충남대학교 경상대학 여학생의 취업현황 및 취업준비 현황을 이용하여 지방대학 여학생 취업시장의 불일치(mismatch)를 분석하였다. 지방대학 여학생의 취업시장 불일치는 우리나라 청년 및 대학 취업시장의 불일치의 일부분이기 때문에 본 연구는 우리나라 전체의 청년 및 대학생 취업현황을 분석하였다. 분석결과 취업준비자와 단시간근로자 등을 포함한 실질 청년실업률은 23.1%로서 공식적인 청년실업률의 거의 세 배에 해당되었다. 4년제 대학생의 취업률은 꾸준히 상승하였지만 증가하는 취업자는 대부분 비정규직으로서 대학생 취업의 질은 결코 호전되지 않고 있다. 충남대학교 경상계열 여학생들에 대한 취업현황 및 취업준비 현황 분석에 의하면 대부분 여학생들은 은행, 공기업, 대기업 등을 선호하였지만 실제로 희망분야에 취업하는 여학생은 극소수에 불과했다. 따라서, 이러한 불일치를 해결하기 위해서는 대학교의 취업교육을 위한 강좌 및 교수의 취업지도 활성화를 위한 대학교 교육 제도 개편이 절실하다.
