한민족의 가치관념, 사고방식, 의식구조, 행동양식 등 제반 영역에서 유교 문화적 양상을 쉽게 고찰할 수 있다. 한국인이라면 어떤 종교적 신앙을 가지고 있든지 막론하고 실질적으로 유교적 가치관을 따라 생활하고 있는 것 같다. 한국인의 의사소통의 도구인 한국어 역시 유교 문화 특징을 보여 준다고 할 수 있겠다. 한국 유교 문화의 전반적 체계에 대하여 연구한다는 것은 대단히 어렵지만 그 중에서 가족중심주의 문화, 개인보다는 사회를 우선시하는 공동체 문화, 충효가 강조되는 예의 문화, 사회질서 기강을 중시하는 서열 문화 등 분야에 초점을 맞 추어 분석하는 것은 가능성이 없지 않은 것 같다. 따라서 본 논문은 언어문화학적 관점에서 가족주의 문화, 예의 문화, 공동체 문화, 서열 문화 등 유교 문화에 초점을 맞추어 한국의 유교 문화를 고찰하는 동시에 한국어에 반영된 유교 문화적 양상을 분석하는 데 주 목적을 두고자 한다.
