The population who participates in Outdoor Leisure Sports has been increased in contemporary society. However, the studies on sport sociological significance of Outdoor Leisure Sports are lack. Since 1987 when I began Skin-SCUBA diving and 1992 when I taught Skin-SCUBA diving, I have recognized that the people who participate in Outdoor Leisure Sports do not have enough understanding about their sports. Based on these questions, the purpose of this study is to explore how adventure experiences on Outdoor Leisure Sports have the sport sociological significance by using hermeneutic phenomenological methodology. To accomplish this purpose, the researcher had reviewed literatures on Outdoor Leisure Sports for two years from March, 2007 to March, 2009, and has collected data since April 2009 by using In-depth Interview, Participant Observation, and Archival Research. In this study, the researcher used checking technique like as triangulation to establish the trustworthiness of the data, and also collected the critical comments from a four-member panel at the 2009 annual conference to improve this dissertation (Lim, 2009). The summary of the study is as following. Consequently, through participating in Outdoor Leisure Sports, divers and paragliders of this study found their ego newly, learned how to cooperate with others as a member of society, and had a new harmony with nature. As a result, the results of this study imply the significance of Outdoor Leisure Sports such as Skin-SCUBA Diving and Paragliding Nature-friendly with in the sport sociological perspective.
