The Effect of 12 weeks Taekwon-gymnastic participations on the psychological health of elderly people

The goal of this research is to apply Taekwon gymnastics to the development theoretical everyday life of humans, and examine how it influences the psychological trait of aged people, and how it enhances their psychological health. The research subjects were 56 aged people of ages 65 and over that attends J University for the Elderly, located in J City, North Jeolla. The independent variable was the existence of the Taekwon gymnastics program management. The management term was 12 weeks, and repeated ANOVA was implemented through repeated measurement, and also, as for the verification afterwards, the scheffe method was used. The results is as follows; First: in the group of Taekwon gymnastics management existence as a factor of psychological health, positive relationships, personal growth, and self-control were statistically better than the control group, but self-acceptance, environment control, and goal of life showed no significant statistical difference. Second: in the group of Taekwon gymnastics management existence as a factor of psychological health, self-acceptance, environment control, positive relationships, and self-regulation showed statistical difference, but personal growth and goal of life did not show a significant statistical difference.
