The psychological problem caused by disorder causes the problem for its rehabilitation. A man with low self-efficacy that is his ability to obtain his desired result against the situation is limited to perform his role, and has his mental health affected. What affects upon this formation of self-efficacy is social support. The art therapy is nonverbal mean, which is a treatment approach that makes social support possible through its strong point that is the activity with less defense or control. Accordingly, I intend to observe the examples that the art therapy can give the handicapped person the social support for the self efficacy improved, and thereby causes him to have active participatory needs for social adaptation. 장애로 인해 일어나는 심리적인 문제는 재활에의 어려움을 야기 시킨다. 상황에 대처하여 원하는 결과를 얻어낼 수 있는 자 신의 능력인 자기효능감이 낮은 사람은 자신의 역할을 수행하는 데 제한을 받게 되며 정신건강에도 영향을 미친다. 이러한 자기효능감 형성에 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 것이 사회적 지지이다. 미술치료는 비언어적 수단이며, 방어나 통제가 적은 활동 이라는 장점을 통해 적절한 사회적 지지를 가능케 할 수 있는 치료방법이다. 이에 미술치료가 장애인에게 사회적 지지를 해 주어 자기효능감이 향상되고, 그로써 사회적응에의 적극적인 참여 욕구를 불러일으킬 수 있음을 사례를 통 하여 살펴보고자 한다.
