초록
영어
This thesis reviews 5 works of Sunwon Lee with autobiographical factors - “Our Stone Age,” “Susaek, its watery pattern,” “19-year-old,” “Looking for horses,” and “Old road to Kang-neung” in growth novel's prospect. Also, I analyzed the meaning of these works, presented the specifications and significance of Mr. Lee's novel as a growth novel. In this thesis, the meaning feature of his 5 works - “Our Stone Age,” “Susaek, its watery pattern,” “19-year-old,” “Looking for horses,” and “Old road to Kang-neung” - was subdivided into and analyzed as “growth disorder owing to loss of synchronized target, ” “Tales of searching self-identity and sexual identity,” “The discovery of evil and the disillusion towards the world” in growth novel's prospect. Main characters of Mr. Lee's growth novel are just general ones who don't show any special features in the process of their growth that most of them suffer from the growth disorder by the memories of their youth even when they become adults. However, it's positive since they're successful in growth after overcoming their wounds in their younger years by recognizing their world after all. We can find it very meaningful for Mr. Lee's growth novel in a sense that it gives hopes they overcome and become mature even though they suffer from pain, and that writer himself tries to heal his painful memories in his youth.
