A Historical Study on the Narratives of Mixed-Blood People. Journal of the International Network for Korean Language and Culture. Vol. 7-2. 71-91. For the purpose of studying principle of selection and exclusion of mixed-blood people, this paper considered the narratives of neglected mixed-blood people from Gaehwagi to this day. The first is in the period of Japanese Occupancy. Mixed-blood males was acceptable in Korean by conditions that his father was Korean. Gender dichotomy was more important than pure-blood in the genealogy of nation. The second is after the liberation. Mixed-blood people were ruled out because their fathers were foreigners. The third is in this day. There are friendly attitudes toward mixed-blood in this day. Because their fathers were Koreans. Therefore friendly sights of mixed-blood in this day are out of Korean male line too. The principle of selection and exclusion of mixed-blood people is not the myth of pure-blood but Korean paternal line(Sogang University)
