The purpose of this study was to prove the relations between tourism information system and Japanese individual tourists' satisfaction for improving their convenience when they had visited the Korea. The results showed that seven constructions of tourism information system based on literature review were proper. The result of relations between tourism information system and Japanese tourists' satisfaction showed that it was necessary to improve the usefulness of pedestrian map, accessibility of tourist information center, the usefulness of bus information, previous information usefulness for increasing the Japanese individual tourists' satisfaction. While the convenience of promotion materials, the service of guide in the tourist information center, the usefulness of Korea Travel Phone(1330) had no effect on the Japanese individual tourists' satisfaction. The result of study could give very useful implications for improvement of Japanese individual tourists' satisfaction.

본 연구는 한국을 방문하는 일본 개별 여행객의 국내여행 편의를 개선하기 위해 관광안내체계 평가요인과 전반적 만족간의 인과관계를 검증하였다. 분석결과, 선행연구를 토대로 도출된 관광안내체계 구성개념 7개는 관광안내체계를 평가하기에 모두 타당한 지표로 분석되었다. 관광안내체계와 만족도간의 인과관계 분석결과, 일본 개별 여행객의 관광만족도 제고를 위해서 보행자 지도 표지의 유용성, 관광안내소 접근성, 버스정보의 유용성, 사전정보 유용성을 개선하는 것이 가장 필요한 것으로 나타났다. 반면, 홍보물 이용 편리성, 안내원서비스, 관광안내전화(1330) 유용성은 전반적인 만족도에 유의한 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 분석되었다. 본 연구의 결과는 한국을 방문하는 일본인 개별 여행객의 관광활동 만족도 제고를 위한 관광안내체계 개선에 유용한 시사점을 제공할 것으로 기대된다.
