The Shenmoxiaoshuo is the genre of chinese roman which describes the quarrel between gods and devils. Until now, the researchers have studied about this Shenmoxiaoshuo in the context of the Taoism. But we must know the novelist of the Shenmoxiaoshuo has utilized the Buddhism to create a literary work. For this reason, in the Shenmoxiaoshuo, there are many buddhist literary elements. For the objective of this study, it is necessary to research, in the domain of religion, such as Taoism and Buddhism. As one of this method, we will analyse the aspect of reincarnation described in the Shenmoxiaoshuo, as the concept of the reincarnation came from the Buddhism. The chinese taoists have transformed the buddhist reincarnation into the taoist reincarnation. Not only China but also Korea and Japan has been influenced by the Buddhism. Therefor, we think that the result of our article probably contribute to study of ancient literature of these two nations.
