This thesis is the result of a study on the relationships among concrete sensory factors within the video work ‘A Superhuman from Itaewon'; the study is beginning from considering the title of the exhibition 'Decoratively Overlocked Itaewon' which title is functioning as a native sign in terms of the specific historical situations in Korea. I analyse the transitional procedures from one character to another who are making a series of appropriations(becoming) and still remaining in the status of modes as well. It is possible to approach the process of finding references from 'the others', which is happening in your subconsciousness, and there is no basis for 'the beings'. This is also a chance to observe the way how referential things from realities are deterritorialized based on the functioning of subconsciousness.

본 논문은 한국이라는 특수한 환경 안에서 토착적 기호로 작용하는 ‘이태원 오바로크’라는 전시의 명제에 관한 고찰로부터 시작하여 ‘이태원의 사나이’라는 작품 속에 드러난 구체적인 감각적 단서들의 관계를 살펴보기 위한 연구의 결과이다. 정의내릴 수 없는 양태의 상태에 머무르면서 변용을 거듭하는 퍼포먼스 속 캐릭터들의 이행에 관해 분석한다. 이를 바탕으로 존재자의 근거가 부재한 상태에서 무의식 안에서 일어나는 대타자에 대한 참조 과정에 접근 할 수 있다. 이는 또한 현실에 기초한 참조의 지점들이 무의식의 작용에 힘입어 어떻게 탈영토화 하는지 그 흐름을 추적해 볼 수 있는 기회이기도 하다.
