This study was made to determine the furctions of I.P.A(iso-prophy1 alcohol)an it is used in lithographic fountaia solution. Alcohol acts as a wetting agent, an evaporant, a dilutent a lubricant and reduces Surface tention and emulsification of ink/water mixture. From many studies. the function of the I.P.A appeurs to be that of a surfactant Cowbined with evaporative and diluent properties
