Christian small group is a form of the church that has a biblical and theological foundation. It is not a means of church growth or one of the various ministerial methods, but a way to express Christian life itself. In a small group, Christians may experience the church at its best and live a truly Christian life. Dietrich Bonhoeffer provides us with theological and practical insights for organizing Christian small groups in his book, Life Together. Christian small groups has Jesus Christ as their foundation. Every Christian should witness Jesus Christ and also listen about Him. Through Jesus Christ we may proceed to God and get close to people. The conviction that we are accepted in Jesus Christ becomes for us a Christian reason to accept other people in the small group. Christians' fellowship begins from such a motive of faith. A small group is a meeting of Christians who have various situations and backgrounds. Facilitating fellowship among them first requires God's grace and also the incessant efforts of the members in the grace of God. One of those efforts is to magnify God with prayer and praise. Another effort is to control one's self and serve other people. Outside the small group, the members can serve others by Bible meditation, prayer and intercession. Inside the small group, they can contribute to establish the group by listening to other people and meet other members' needs with meek hearts. Members of a small group should try to demolish the barriers with other people through various means of the Christian faith. For example, we should find a proper way to "confess our sins to each other," which is the instruction of the Bible and the Reformers. The Lord's Supper can be also a means of faith that facilitates fellowship of the small group. The Lord's Supper unites people who participate in the ritual established by the Lord, and the participants become "us" who share all good things.
