Founded in 1997, Korean University Council for Social Service (KUCSS) is a non-profit organization consisted of 201 member universities, including both 2-year and 4-year colleges, nationwide. The goal of KUCSS is to develop effective approaches and methodologies for the encouragement of volunteerism in the public by providing university students with the learning opportunities to join and experience social service and community-based volunteer activities. The KUCSS's program objectives are to make collaborative efforts for the integration of university curriculum and social service activities; to support social service programs in universities; to exchange information and cooperate with social service agencies, both domestic and overseas; to study and develop the ways for active involvement of university students and young adults in social service activities; and thereby to contribute to the welfare of our society. In this paper we investigate current situation of Administration System for Campus Volunteerism, and suggest improvement method of operation system for service learning.

대학에서의 사회봉사교육은 학생들에게 사회 및 사회봉사활동에 대한 전반적인 이해와 적극적인 관심, 그리고 사회적인 통찰력을 고양시키고 동시에 능동적인 사회 참여의 의지를 심어 주는 것이 중요하며, 지역사회와 연계한 학습의 장이 될 수 있도록 계획․운영되어야 한다. 또한 봉사학습을 효율적으로 관리하기 위해서는 사회봉사와 관련된 전담조직의 설치와 전담 교수 및 직원의 배치가 이루어져야 하며, 사회봉사 관련 교과목의 개설되어 운용되어야 한다. 한국대학사회봉사협의회는 1997년 설립된 이래로 대학사회봉사의 활성화를 위하여 우리나라 대학사회에 봉사학습의 개념을 도입 대학생들에게 봉사학습을 통한 사회성증진의 기회를 제공하고 국내․외 대학 및 봉사기관과 의 정보교환을 선도하였으며, 다양한 봉사활동 지원 사업을 펼쳐왔다. 이 논문에서는 현행 대학사회봉사 관리 체계를 분석하여 효율적인 대학사회봉사 관리방안을 제안하였다.
