The place where educational activities are realized needs to have in stock the suitable environment where it is hit. school forest become the very good space which practices education for the whole man which leads discretionary activities and extra-curricular activities. Therefore in this paper it was warm and applied the children who go taking advantage of an infinite possibility in them being raised, and by the method of also solving the problem and social problem of the education which the present education is holding on the whole 'school forest decoration' is proposed it is going to carry out the grope to the method proposal of management of the 'extra-curricular activities and discretionary activity' curriculum which utilized school woods. It is going to propose analyzing previously the actual condition of. which made reference in the necessity for the forest of a school, and the green-tract-of-land environment of a school, and making 'natural forest' as a direction of green-tract-of-land reclamation of a school for it.
Next, it considers as the concrete practice strategy for management of forest decoration of a school and a 'extra-curricular activities and discretionary activity' curriculum, and comes out, and present extra-curricular activities and a present discretionary activity curriculum are analyzed it groped for the method proposal of
practical use which leads presentation of the example of forest decoration of the school in the actual condition of extra-curricular activities discretionary activity teaching materials development and Japan which utilized the forest of a school.

교육활동이 이루어지는 곳은 그에 맞는 적절한 환경을 갖추는 것이 필요하다. 학교 숲은 재량활동 및 특별활동을 통한 전인교육을 실천하는 매우 좋은 공간이 된다. 따라서 본고에서는, 따뜻하고 바른, 깊이 있는 인성을 갖춘 자신만의 무한한 가능성을 살려 가는 아이들을 육성하고 현 교육이 안고 있는 교육의 총체적인 문제와 사회 문제도 해결할 수 있는 방법으로 ‘학교 숲 가꾸기’를 제안하며, 학교 숲을 활용한 ‘특별활동 및 재량활동’ 교육과정의 운영 방안에 대한 모색을 하고자 하였다.
그를 위해 먼저, 학교 숲의 필요성을 언급하고, 학교 녹지 환경 실태를 분석하여 학교 녹지 조성의 방향으로 ‘자연의 숲’ 만들기를 제안하고자 한다. 다음에, 학교 숲 가꾸기와 ‘특별활동 및 재량활동’ 교육과정의 운영을 위한 구체적인 실천 전략으로 현행 특별활동 및 재량활동 교육과정을 분석하고, 학교 숲을 활용한 특별․재량활동 교재개발의 실태 및 일본의 학교 숲 가꾸기 사례 제시를 통한 활용 방안을 모색하였다.
