초등학교 3학년 영어 공교육 실시와 함께 2011년부터 보급되는 디지털 교과서를 시작으로 초등학교 3학년 어린이 영어교육 시장의 패러다임이 바뀌고 있다. 프린트 북과 오디오 파일로 교육 받던 한 방향 교육을 넘어 시간과 공간에 제약 없이 멀티미디어를 적극 활용한 양방향 교육이 초등학교 영어교육을 주도하고 있다. 디지털 세대인 아이들에게 익숙하면서 양방향 교육이 가능한 Website 콘텐츠는 디지털 교과서를 대비하게 하면서 공교육을 보조할 영어교육 콘텐츠의 유용한 매체가 될 수 있다. 본 연구는 Website 영어교육 콘텐츠 중 신뢰도를 감안하여 정부 차원에서 엄선된 콘텐츠를 제공하는 EBS Website의 영어교육 웹사이트 인터랙션 디자인을 분석하였다. 이는 초등학교 학생들이 무료로 어디서나 이용이 가능한 콘텐츠이기 때문에 노출 빈도가 가장 높다. 본 연구는 EBS Website의 영어 콘텐츠를 어린이들이 멀티미디어나 Website를 접할 때 장점으로 평가하는 인터랙션 부분에서 살펴보았다. 그리고 좋은 인터랙션 디자인을 위한 모형을 통해 EBS Website 콘텐츠 중 초등학교 3학년 어린이 영어회화 관련 콘텐츠에 한정하여 살펴보았고, 초등학교 3학년 타겟에 맞춰진 사용자 친화적인 조형요소 사용 여부를 통해 인터랙션 디자인을 분석하였다.
