Introduction: The Biblical hope of shalom 
 A. Because all has fallen, all needs to be redeemed.
 B. The general guide to God's program of restoring shalom is Scripture and creed, but for creative application of Scriptural and creedal principles in changing contexts, Christian higher education is a powerful tool.
 C. Christian higher education helps students gain the knowledgem skills, and character traits that will be needed in the battle for shalom.
 D. Scripture gives Christians reason to believe that there shall be cultural continuity between this world and "the new heaven and earth," and that any good we do for the Kingdom now shall endure into the time when the Kingdom is consummated
