The purpose of this article is to analyze the bike road in Iksan for Development of Tour City uilizing bike road. The building the infrastructure of bike paths can contribute to the local economy and tourism through everyday life as well as leisure tourism revitalization. The anticipation of future demand as the Mecca of cycling tourism can become a bike road to explore ways and tourism through urban development. Iksan bike road based on the current status and problems were discussed. From the results of this study, the following findings were obtained; The both sides installation showed 71.2km of 30 zones but the one-tail 15.6km of 15 zones. The break zone showed 13.6km of 8 routes. The bollard showed 34 spots, the damaged bike road 38 areas, the threshold of bike road 17 spots, the no fixing of bike road signpost 16 spots. The Article 2 of the Road Traffic Act and the Article 2 of ordinance of Iksan City on the right of pedestrian, the Article 6 of the ordinance of Iksan City on sports area service ought to revice for vitalization of bike utilization. The 3 section bike roads ought to be builded for the tourism to utilize 19 cultural assets designated by nation and 47 cultural assets designated by Jollabuk-Do. The bike road linked tourist attractions ought to be builded the first of priority.

이 연구에서는 익산시를 중심으로 일상생활용 뿐 아니라 관광레저용으로 지역경제와 관광의 활성화를 이룰 수 있도록 자전거도로 현황을 분석하여 관광과 연계된 자전거도로 발전방안을 모색해 보고자 하는데 연구의 목적을 두고 익산시의 자전거도로 현황을 분석한 결과에 따른 결론 및 시사점은 다음과 같다. 총 30개 구역 71.2km가 양측으로 자전거도로가 구축되어 있으며 총 15개 구역 15.6km가 편측으로 구축되어 있다.단절구간은 8개 노선 총 13.6km로 나타났다. 11개 노선에 볼라드설치 34개소, 자전거도로 파손 38개소, 턱 낮춤 미흡 17개소, 자전거도로 표지판 미설치 16개소로 나타났다. 또한 자전거관련 제도에서는 「도로교통법」제2조 ⑬항과 익산시민의 보행권확보 및 보행환경 개선에 관한 조례중 제2조 ③항 및 익산시 체육진흥시설관리 및 운영조례 제6조 ⑧항의 문제점을 개정하여야 한다. 19개 익산 국가지정 문화재와 익산 47개 도지정 문화재를 이용한 다양한 문화, 체험 관광을 위해서는 3개 구간별로 자전거 도로를 구축하므로서 현재 익산의 도심지역에 설치된 자전거 도로와 익산의 풍부한 백제 관광지와 연결되어 자전거 관광여행의 편리성 때문에 내국인뿐만 아니라 외국인 관광객들까지 유인하는 효과가 커지게 될 것으로 사료된다. 따라서 익산시의 자전거를 이용한 관광도시개발을 위해서는 관광자원과 연계된 자전거 이용시설 위주로 우선순위를 체계적으로 결정하고 이를 지속적으로 정비 및 확충하는 것이 필수적이다.
