As environmental researchers report, contemporary ecological crisis has cultural backgrounds of metaphysical optimism and secularism, which have made human beings to exploit nature. Against to Being by which western thoughts are grounded, Absolute Nothingness of Kyoto school tries to liberate human beings from consciousness of nature. I judge this effort for liberating from any consciousness has implication of contradictory pursuits. So it can not bring new environmental consciousness. S. Kierkegaard understands human life as Being before God individually. Before God human being lives as existence of anxiety. This anxiety can be overcome by faithfulness to God. This research tries to find new environmental consciousness by analyzing Kierkegaard's work 『Either/ Or』 which centers on music. Kierkegaard thanks to God for his calling from God by sing and confessing in 『The Birds of air and the Lily of field』. This research found, that these singing and confessing as the factors of making our environments should be transferred to others by indirect communications.

현대의 생태적 위기는 기존 연구에서 알려진 대로 인간이 자연을 일방적으로 대상화하는 데에서 기인한 것이다. 존재에 근거한 서양사상에 맞서서 절대무(絶對無, absolute nothingness)에 근거한 니쉬타니(K. Nishitani) 등의 교토학파는 인간의 (환경)의식 자체를 문제시하며 의식으로부터 자유를 추구한다. 그런데 나는 인간이 스스로 무로 돌아가려는 노력은 무(無)가 아니며 그런 시도 자체가 이미 모순적 추구를 함의(含意)하기 때문에 환경의 변화를 종국적으로 이룩할 수는 없다고 본다. 인간의 실존적 현실을 불안으로 이해한 키르케고아(S. Kierkegaard)는 인간을 무(無)에 직면한 존재로 보았다. 이 연구는 환경의식을 개선하는 구체적 방안으로서 음악과 노래에 대한 키르케고아의 분석을 그의 저작 『이것이냐 저것이냐』를 중심으로 찾아보고자 한다. 키르케고아는 『들에 백합 공중의 새』 등에서 자신의 삶에 대한 신의 특별한 소명과 기대에 감사하며 노래한다. 이 연구는 이런 고백이 키르케고아의 독특한 방식인 간접전달을 통해 전해지며 나아가 우리의 구체적 환경과 현실을 변화시킬 수 있다고 본다.
