This study is intended to analyze performance of the oral-narrative dealing with the sexual imagination and desire. As a result of the analysis, we can ascertain facts that the performance effects producing the gendered subject by naturalizing gender category and gender norm, and regulating the gendered body and sexuality. In this study, the oral narratives categorized as sexual discourse will include not only the narratives dealing with biological sex generally, but also the narratives about the sexuality meaning sexual behaviour and desire, and the narratives covering the gender norms and power to be constructed on social discourse. Female subject who perform the oral-narratives is participating on her own initiative in the gendered strategy to be given body by effect of the discourse and is flighting from it at the same time. Therefore the female subject constructed by the sexual discourse, necessarily, are characterized by duplicity. Because female subject accepting the suspicion of male subject's melancholy and anxiety, or female sexuality to be made for protecting the melancholy and the anxiety, repetitively performs the oral-narratives, and through this repetitiveness moves gradually to the performance of mourning for loss of female subject. The gendered subject can not escape from the subject suffering from the depression, so long as the performance of sexual discourse repeatedly is connected with the negation and the disgust of female sexuality, and denial of sexual desire. But it is possible to detect potential for mourning to escape from the depression in the performance.

이 글은 성적(性的) 담론으로 기능하는 구전이야기 연행을 분석하여, 이와 같은 성적 담론의 연행이 성적 표상으로서의 섹슈얼리티를 규제하고 특정 젠더 경계를 자연화․규범화함으로써 특수하게 범주화된 젠더 규범과 질서에 부합하는 젠더화된(gendered) 주체를 생산해내는 효과를 발휘하는 과정에 주목한다. 성적(性的) 담론의 층위는 다양하지만 여기서 성적 담론으로 범주화한 구전이야기는 일반적으로 생물학적 성(性, sex)으로 분류되는 대상 외에, 신체 내 부위를 포괄하는 성적 표상과 성적 행위 및 욕망을 포함하는 섹슈얼리티(sexuality), 그리고 사회적․담론적으로 구성되는 젠더(gender) 권력과 규범을 다루는 영역까지 포괄한다. 성적 담론으로 기능하는 구전이야기를 연행하는 ‘여성’ 주체는 담론의 효과로 구현되는 젠더화 전략에 자발적으로 순응하면서 동시에 이로부터 탈주하는 복종과 불복종의 운동을 반복한다. 따라서 성적 담론을 통해 구성되는 ‘여성’ 주체는 필연적으로 이중적이며 분열적일 수밖에 없다. ‘남성’ 주체의 우울이나 불안, 혹은 그것을 방어하기 위해 만들어진 ‘여성’ 섹슈얼리티에 대한 일정한 혐의를 자신의 것으로 그대로 답습하는 수행을 반복하면서, 이와 같은 반복을 통해 조금씩 ‘여성’ 주체 스스로의 상실을 애도하는 연행으로 옮겨가기 때문이다. 성적 담론의 연행이 ‘여성’ 섹슈얼리티의 부정과 혐오, 성적 욕망의 부인과 결핍에의 고착을 정체성의 내용으로 반복 수행할 때 젠더 주체는 우울증적 주체에서 벗어날 수 없다. 그러나 우리는 ‘여성’ 주체의 구전이야기 연행에서 성적 담론의 우울증적 효과를 벗어나는 애도의 가능성을 발견하게 된다. ‘여성’ 연행자들만으로 구성된 수평적 연행의 틀 내에서 성적 담론의 연행을 통해 ‘여성적 표상’과 ‘여성의 성적 욕망’, 그리고 ‘성적 욕망의 실현 의지’에 대한 긍정과 적극적 의미 부여가 시도되기 때문이다. 이는 ‘여성’ 주체의 ‘거세 콤플렉스’ 극복을 암시하는 동시에, 젠더화된 주체를 억압하는 젠더 경계와 젠더 규범의 동요를 징후적으로 예고하는 것이기도 하다.
