Arsenic is classified as one of the most toxic and carcinogenic chemical element, and removal of As (III) from water is of great importance. The adsorption of As (III) in water on ferric hydroxide and the influencing factor (pH) were studied. Results showed the adsorption process fitted the second-order reaction model, and the saturated adsorption capability can be reached in 4 h. The As (III) removal efficiency is the highest when pH is 6.8. The adsorption isotherms could be
described as Langmuir’s equation.
