The application of multimedia data has been extended to many fields in games, which are using multimedia date. Increasing volume of multimedia date is automatically demanding induction of systematic techniques in controlling of game contents. In order to control multimedia data, hardware system optimizing the use of multimedia data is needed and various deeper studies on software making multimedia application optimal should be done including multimedia condensing, image recognition, pattern recognition, object image construction. This study introduces the way of construction and integration of multimedia hardware and various software systems. Furthermore this study introduces hardware system that is able to control playing video clip of games, ways of image storage related to international standardized agreement MPEG-2, MPEG-4, and MPEG-7 and ways of image data storage and ways of image recognition based on pattern recognition. In sum, this study has dealt with various ways of constructing media control system.

멀티미디어 데이터를 응용하는 분야가 매우 많은 분야로 확대되어 왔으며, 현재 게임의 다양한 분야가 멀티미디어 데이터를 이용한다. 이러한 멀티미디어 콘텐츠의 양적인 급격한 팽창은 자연적으로 게임 콘텐츠 관리에서도 보다 체계적인 기술도입을 요구하게 된다. 멀티미디어 데이터를 컨트롤하기 위해서는 멀티미디어 데이터를 최적화 하여 수행하는 하드웨어 시스템이 필요하며, 소프트웨어 분야로 멀티미디어에 대한 다양한 연구가 필요하다. 소프트웨어 분야의 다양한 연구 분야로는 멀티미디어 압축, 영상 인식, 패턴 인식, 객체 영상 구축 등에 대한 연구가 이에 해당한다. 본 논문은 멀티미디어의 하드웨어와 다양한 소프트웨어의 시스템을 구축하고 연결하는 방법을 소개 한다. 게임에서의 동영상 재생컨트롤이 가능한 하드웨어 시스템과 국제 표준 규약인 MPEG-2와 MPEG-4 MPEG-7과 연계되는 영상 저장 방법 및 객체 지향 방식의 영상 데이터 저장 방식과 패턴 인식을 기반으로 하는 영상 인식 방법을 소개한다.
