Consideration on the Insulation Code in Korea

The description of insulation performance could be divided by thermal transmittance and thermal resistance by country. In Korea, insulation performance in building is describing as thermal transmittance. The natural convective heat transfer coefficient is calculated by temperature difference and forced heat transfer coefficient is calculated by air velocity. Convective heat transfer coefficient is affected by more forced heat transfer coefficient than natural convective heat transfer coefficient. Convective heat transfer coefficient could be calculated velocity factor depending on building height. The outer film heat transfer coefficient is being apply in calculation
of heat transmittance regardless of building height in domestic and Japan except USA.
