A study on Characteristics of Stress Distribution of Column-Supported Wall System Subjected to Lateral Load

The column-supported wall system structures are being built according to increase of population and accelerated urbanization. In this study, characteristics of shear wall system subjected to lateral load is analyzed and the stress distribution and deformation characteristics of the column-supoorted wall system structures were compared.
The results obtained from the model using the plane stress elements were compared with the results of the model with a beam-column elements for column - supported wall type structures.
The bending moment of the model with beam-column elements was 0.53 times of that of model with plane stress elements at the end of transfer girder. And the bending momomet at the center of transfer girder consist of beam-column elements was 1.59 times of that of model with plane stress elements.
