This study aims at conducting previous study for understanding of usefulness and problems of rental houses by examining and analyzing the reality of dwelling of residents in the rental apartments built and provided by private sector and current situations of each complex. By examining residents' consciousness on dwelling and the reality of dwelling in private rental apartments in Jangyu-myeon, Gimhae-si as the place of examination, it attempts to present fundamental information such as help and direction to create rental apartments as a complex that is better place to live in the future. The survey was conducted through visitation and interview, and motivation to move in the rental apartments, dwelling satisfaction, plan to move in the future and reasons for moving were investigated in order to understand dwelling consciousness. The future rental a partments will satisfy various requirements, and are appropriate for living environments, and require supports and improvement in the required forms. In addition, besides supplement and improvement of physical facilities, it is considered that we require consistent research in terms of system and social security.
