The purpose of this study was to comparatively study the structure of Technology part in Technology Education & Home Economics textbook for the 7th grades of Korea and Taiwan, and provide the current issues for textbook development and improvement about the structure of Technology part in Technology textbook of the both nations. The results from this study were as follows: First, The Taiwan Ministry of Education only formulates one kind of Technology textbook and in Korea the textbook which is authenticated by the Korean Ministry of Education to be possible to publish freely. Second, regarding the external structure of the content, the textbooks of Korea and Taiwan were generally similar except the page number. Third, regarding the internal structure of the contents, it was set more in large units of Taiwan than Korea. The content of the units was different between Korea and Taiwan, the number of experiments and evaluations of Korea more than Taiwan. Fourth, suggestions based on the results of this study are as follows: ①It is necessary to develop the organization of the Technology textbook with the considerations of national culture trait, social policies and needs. ②When select external structure of contents to compose the Technology textbook, the authors of the Technology textbooks must consider the interest of the students with a priority. ③To achieve educational goals reflected by curriculum, the internal structure of the textbook contents should decided by the context of sequence and consistency.

이 연구는 개정된 한국과 대만의 중학교 1학년 기술 교과서 체제를 비교하여 양국의 기술교과 수업에 대한 이해와 향후 계속적인 기술 교과서 개발과 개선을 위한 시사점을 제공할 목적으로 수행되었다. 이 연구의 결과로부터 얻은 결론은 첫째, 대만 교과서는 1종 국정교과서로써 교육부가 출판사를 선정하여 발행하여 일선 학교에 무상으로 배부하고 있는데, 한 교과서는 교육부가 인정하는 검인정 교과서로써, 교육부에서 인정된 각 교과서를 각 출판사들이 자유발행하고, 각 급 학교에서 선정 활용하도록 되어 있다. 둘째, 한국 기술 교과서의 특징은 외적체제가 학습자의 사용 편의 면에 중점을 두어 있고 내적체제가 학습자간의 상호 의사소통이 지니고 있다. 셋째, 대한 기술 교과서의 특징은 학습자가 교과서에 실린 내용을 쉽게 파악할 수 있다. 넷째, 한국과 대만의 개정된 중학교 1학년 기술 교과서 외적 체제는 판형, 글자, 색도, 여백, 지질 등에 있어서 유사하며, 한국의 기술 교과서가 내용 분량과 삽화에 있어서 대만보다 더 많은 양을 제공하고 있다. 다섯째, 내적 체제의 내용 조직은 한국 교과서가 교과서 조직 및 대단원 조직에서 대만의 교과서보다 여러 단계로 설계되어 있다. 여섯째, 내용 구성 요소에서는 한국과 대만이 학습목표를 제시하는 위치와 개수에 있어서 차이가 있으며, 양국의 교육과정에 따라 내용 구성 영역에 차이가 있다. 실험·실습활동과 심화 및 정리 평가에서 한국이 대만보다 다양한 형태로 더 많은 활등을 제공하고 있다. 향후 교과서 개발을 위한 시사점으로는, 첫째, 교과서 개발시 체제내용은 국가 문화적 특성, 사회적 정책, 시대적 요구를 고려가 필요가 있다. 둘째, 교과서 외적 체제를 선정하여 구성할 때 학생들의 흥미를 반영시키는 요인들을 먼저 고려하여야 할 것이다. 셋째, 교과서 내적 체제는 교육과정에 반영된 교육 목표 달성을 위하여 계열성, 계통성, 계속성을 고려하여 전개하여야 할 것이다.
