The main objective of this study was to investigate the correlation of heart rate recovery(HRR) and fasting glucose during treadmill test in hypertensive men. The subjects consisted total 20 patients who was aged 40-60 years were checked by medical process and graded exercise testing(GXT). The subjects were divided into 2 groups: hypertension group(n=10) and hypertension with obese group(n=10). Statistical analysis was performed using analysis of independent t-test and parson's correlation analysis. Result of this study were as follows.
1. Between the hypertension group and hypertension with obese group %BF, BMI, fasting glucose, Peak O2 were significantly(p<.05) difference, but weight and Rest HR, BP, RPP, serum lipids were not.
2. Correlation coefficient with heart rate recovery(HRR) have significantly(p<.05): fasting glucose(r= -.628, p<.05).
Conclusionally, these results indicate that low cardiac function in hypertension groups. Also decreased of HRR indicated significantly correlation fasting glucose. Therefore, low HRR was very important risk factors that autonomic dysfunction(AD) in hypertension and hypertension with obese group.
