The main objective of this study was to investigate the effect of 12 weeks aerobic exercise on rate pressure product(RPP) and exercise capacity(EC) in middle age obese men. The subjects consisted total 9 adult woman subjects who was aged 42-58 years were checked by medical process and graded exercise testing(GXT). Subjects participated in treadmill exercise programs for 12 weeks according to the exercise prescriptions. Statistical analysis was performed using analysis of one-way Anova. Result of this study were as follows.
1. Physical characteristics of subjects and cardiopulmonary function significantly(p<.05) increased after 12weeks aerobic exercise programs.
2. Rate pressure product was significantly(p<.05) decreased after 12weeks aerobic exercise programs. also, Exercise capacity significantly(p<.05) increased after 12weeks aerobic exercise programs.
In this study, the treadmill exercise programs suitable for the obese was developed and applying this programs weight, percent body fat and RPP were reduced. thus Conclusionally, cardiopulmonary functions were improved.
