Military style culture in the midst of 2006 Germany World cup related media reports

The sports-related media reports should be social interest. The same in terms of sports-related media reports discussed in the context of attempts by various research that has been extensive discussion of those results. Therefore, there are several views of the World Cup press behaviour, but this research approached from the dimension of military culture diffusion.
To discover the image and the ideology in the 2006 Germany World Cup soccer tournament in the newspaper report, text analysis was conducted in this research. Five national newspapers dated from May 10, 2006 to June 24, 2006 was used as a source of data collection.
To figure out military culture reported in the 2006 Germany World Cup in the media, 'sentence units' analysis was conducted targeting as articles of daily newspaper and daily sports newspaper, and made following results.
First, the image of soccer in the text reproduction, media concentrated on their own team's victory and hero of the victory using military terminology make soccer not a place of exchange and unity but a place to compete. In addition, excessive use of military terminology highlights only victory and a hero.
Secondly, ideology in the text of the made blind patriotism. But, not by political or conservative groups as in the past but by commercial capitalism.
Therefore, the news reports appeared in the 2006 Germany World Cup press it as a competition between countries made receiver pursue patriotism to their own team, so that social phenomenon to hostile opponent country happened. Media reports need to abandon such press behavior and approach as a sound cultural phenomenon through the goodwill between countries beyond sports competition.
