The goal of this thesis is to provide basic materials by investigating Korean kindergarten teachers' teaching life in Indonesia and their daily life at their kindergarten. In this study, the consulting, diary, teaching diary and telephone consulting of two Jakarta downtown kindergarten teachers and two principals were studied. The research shows that kindergarten teachers' teaching life is different because of their different kindergarten environment. It also shows that in the relationships with their principal, teachers are those who are superwomen with multi-roles, with parents they are moral teachers who are very conforming, with children they are happy volunteers, and with other teachers they are lonely directors with individualism. According to the psychological part of the research, teachers regard themselves as volunteers who are not specialized in anything, and they show the good and bad aspects of their job. Considering their environmental conditions, they are having a hard time; they don't have national insurance, they have countless mosquitos, and they are loners who go on a picnic by taxi.

본 연구는 인도네시아 한인 유치원 교사들의 교직생활을 알아보고 교직의 일상 속에서 그들이 가지는 교직의 의미를 탐색 해 봄으로써 향후 해외 유치원 교사들의 교직생활을 위한 기초자료로 제공하고자 하였다. 이에 본 연구는 자카르타 시내 유치원 교사 2명, 원감 2명, 총 4명의 면담, 생활일기, 교직일기, 전화상담 등의 자료를 통하여 유치원 교사의 교직 생활 의미를 질적으로 탐색하였다. 연구 결과 유치원 교사의 교직 생활은 유치원 환경에 따라 서로 다르게 살아가고 있었으며, 교직의 일상에서는 원장, 학부모, 유아, 교사의 관계로 나타났다. 즉, 원장과의 관계적 측면에서는 다중적인 역할의 슈퍼우먼, 학부모와의 관계에서는 부모에게 순응한 도덕 선생님, 유아와의 관계에서는 행복한 선생님, 교사와의 관계에서는 개인주의적 성향의 고독한 연출가로 나타났다. 또한 한인 교사 교직의 일상에서 나타나는 심리적 의미 탐색은 분업화를 이루지 못한 교직생활 봉사자, 교직이 가지는 양면성(낙관론자)이며, 그리고 환경적 요인으로 나타난 의미 탐색은 4대 보험 없고 댕기 모기 있는 환경(2년제 투숙객), 택시타고 나들이 가는 방 지킴이 등이다.
