The purpose of this research is to analyze the composition of the modulation of traditional pavilion in Honam province, to typologically categorize and to study the numeral relationship in them. It is needed to classify and typologically categorize the aspect of the modulation of Korean traditional wooden structure pavilion and to analyze the rule of modulation usage in the periodical demand increase of environment-friendly wooden structure. 1. As the result of the research, it has been unearthed that (1)the narrow unit; the way of modulation use (2)transfer and extension of the module unit and (3) the addition and movement of the columns had been used as the method of the modulation change. 2. The numeral properties of outer column module is to use the widest ‘A unit’ in the front-centre, have 1尺~2尺 narrower ‘B unit’ than ‘A unit’ at the front both side and put the other 0.5尺 narrower ‘C unit’ than ‘A unit’ at the side. 3. Numeral characteristic of the narrow unit is that 4尺 unit is the most frequently used and it has constant proportion with A, B and C units.

본 연구의 목적은 호남지방 정자의 모듈구성 특성을 분석하여 유형화하고 칫수적 관계를 규명하는 것 것이다. 목구조 건축에 있어서 모듈구성의 의미는 크며, 현시점과 같이 친환경 목조건축의 수요가 증대하는 상황에서, 우리의 친자연적 전통 목구조건축인 정자의 모듈사용양상을 분류하여 유형화 하는 작업과 모듈의 사용규범에 대한 해석은 아주 절실하다. 연구의 결과로, 1. 정자에서의 모듈변형의 양상(수법)들로는, (1)협칸-모듈을 사용하는 방법 (2)실의 위치이동과 확장의 방법, (3)기둥의 첨가, 이동의 방법들이 사용되어짐을 알 수 있었다. 2. 외부 기둥모듈의 칫수적 특성으로는, 모듈최대값 A는 정면-중앙모듈에 주로 사용하며, 좌우로 A보다 1尺~2尺 작은 모듈B을 사용하고, 측면에는 A값보다 0.5~1尺작은 C모듈을 사용하는 것을 알 수 있었다. 3. 협칸-D모듈의 칫수적 특성으로는, 4尺모듈이 가장 많이 사용되었고, A,B,C모듈과 정수배 구성이 일반적 구성임을 알 수 있었다.
