This study is a research for the characteristics of the Internet's news service in connection with the political news on the Portal Media and the Press dotcom. We conduct examine the main political news on Internet Media, and explore the relative news, headline news, and soft news. Internet's the relative news can supply the strengths on online-journalism. From the perspective of the Agenda Setting, the political news have a strong influence on users. And the soft news of the political news produce adverse effect on the journalism from the soft news' view point. Finally, the study shows that the political news of Internet Media have a positive function thorough the relative news, however the soft news and agenda(headline) of the political news have a negative function on the journalism.

본 연구는 인터넷 미디어인 포털 미디어와 신문사닷컴이 대표적인 경성뉴스인 정치관련 뉴스를 비교 고찰함으로써 정치관련 인터넷 뉴스서비스의 특성을 고찰하였다. 아울러 정치관련 인터넷 뉴스서비스의 특성에 미치는 주요 요인들을 고찰하였다. 인터넷 미디어의 관련뉴스 서비스는 온라인 저널리즘의 장점을 살릴 수 있다. 그리고 의제설정의 관점에서 보면 정치관련 뉴스는 감성적인 연성뉴스보다 뉴스 이용자들에게 심각한 영향을 미칠 수 있으며, 또한 뉴스의 연성화 관점에서 보면 정치관련 뉴스의 연성화 현상은 저널리즘의 역기능적인 측면에서 논의될 수 있다. 포털 미디어는 관련뉴스 서비스를 통해 정치관련 뉴스를 심층보도할 수 있음으로써 온라인 저널리즘의 장점을 살릴 수 있는 긍정적인 측면 있다. 하지만, 포털 미디어뿐만 아니라 신문사닷컴을 포함한 인터넷 미디어는 정치관련 뉴스의 연성화라는 부정적인 측면도 있다.
