The purpose of the study was to examine the college students' core competencies to increase the validity of admission system using college admission officers. We surveyed and obtained the data from faculties in A university. The correspondence analysis was used to analyze the association among variables of competencies and perceptual importance. In the result, we concluded that core competencies such as writing, speaking, creativity, goal setting skill were highly regarded as significant elements for college students. In terms of major series- humanities and social science, science and technology as well as arts and performance, the core competencies varied. This result is expected to play a role as a reference to develop new admission system in colleges.

본 연구의 목적은 대학입학사정관 전형의 타당성을 제고하기 위한 방안으로 대학 생의 핵심역량과 전공계열별 핵심역량을 파악하는 것이다. 연구결과, 대학생들이 갖추어야 할 매우 중요한 핵심역량은 쓰기, 말하기, 창의력 사고력, 목표 및 계획수립 능력 등으로 나타났다. 핵심역량 분석을 위해 변인들 간의 관계성 및 대응성을 파악하는 분석하는 대응일치분석방법을 활용하였다. 전공계열별로는 인문계열은 자기 주도적 학습능력, 목표와 계획 수립능력, 말하기 역량이 매우 중요한 것으로 나타났고, 이공계열은 자료해석, 자원, 정보, 기술 통합능력, 창의적 사고력, 문제해결력, 자기주도적 학습능력 등이 매우 중요한 역량으로 나타났으며, 예체능계열은 말하기, 생각과 정보 교환하기, 창의적 사고력, 문제해결능력 등이 매우 중요한 역량으로 나타났다. 연구를 통해 나타난 결과는 대학입학사정관전형에서 활용할 수 있는 대학 신입생선발의 평가기준과 향후 전공계열별, 학과별 평가내용을 구성하는데 참고가 될 것으로 기대된다.
