The purpose of this study is to reconstruct the elementary moral education's contents through philosophy education. As this purpose, this study begins to indicate the problem of 2007 revised national curriculum of moral education. And then hold that four principles which is important for reconstruction of moral education's contents through philosophy education. Four principles are those. First, mother's science is philosophy. Second, modal education's sphere should be scienced-based curriculum. Third, contents system should be not virtue-based contents but topic-based contents. Fourth, contents of moral education's text should be based on story. According to this principles, this study proposes the chart of moral education's contents and the example of moral education's contents. the chart of moral education's contents helps to reconstruct new moral education's curriculum. the example of moral education's contents helps to make moral education's text.

본 연구의 목적은 철학교육을 통한 초등 도덕과 교육내용을 재구성하는 방안을 모색하는데 있다. 이러한 목적으로 먼저 현행 도덕과 교육 내용의 문제점을 찾아본다. 현행 도덕과 교육 내용의 문제점은 다음과 같이 네 가지로 요약될 수 있다. 즉 윤리학을 중심으로 한 학제적 접근으로는 도덕과의 모학문의 성격을 형성할 수 없다는 것, 도덕과를 생활중심 영역으로 나누면 학문의 성격을 상실하게 된다는 점, 덕목 중심의 내용체계는 답을 미리 알려주고 문제를 풀게 하는 것과 같다는 점, 마지막으로 도덕과 교과서의 서술이 설명식이면 지식이 단편적으로 주입될 뿐이라는 것이다. 이에 대한 대안으로 제시할 수 있는 원칙이 있다. 도덕과 교육 내용의 재구성 원칙 역시 각각의 문제점에 따라 도출될 수 있는데 다음과 같다. 첫째는 도덕과의 모학문은 윤리학이다. 둘째, 도덕과의 영역은 학문중심으로 이루어져야 한다. 셋째, 도덕과 내용체계는 덕목중심이 아니라 주제중심으로 해야 한다. 넷째, 도덕과 교과서의 내용은 이야기 중심으로 서술되어야 한다. 이와 같은 도덕과 교육 내용의 재구성 원칙에 따라 제시될 수 있는 재구성된 도덕과 교육내용의 예시가 소개되어 있다. 도덕과 내용체계와 도덕과 교육 내용의 일부이다. 새롭게 제시된 이러한 도덕과 내용체계와 도덕과 교육 내용은 새로운 도덕과 교육 내용을 형성하는데 도움이 되기를 기대한다.
