Women born and raised in various overseas countries are having many difficulties living in Korea because of the large cultural and environmental differences between Korea and their home countries.
This study conducted research on female immigrants in the Busan area regarding the ingestion of food, and created an habit to provide effective alternatives for people who had experienced many cultural difficulties. To achieve this objective, the female migrant conducted a survey of empirical and theoretical study was carried out.
The most important aspects of food choices were the following: the young age group's first preference was "good taste", while elder age group's preference was "nutrition".
This study showed Korean food got the highest scores from every age group. Additionally, the female immigrants seemed to have adapted to Korean food culture fast, but hadn’t forgotten their countries traditional flavors so they used their own cultural seasonings when cooking.

본 연구는 부산지역 여성결혼이민자들의 식습관에 대한 조사를 함으로써 문화적 이질감으로 어려움을 겪고 있는 다문화가족들에게 효과적인 대안을 제시하고자 하였으며, 이러한 목적을 달성하고자 이론적 고찰과 여성결혼이민자들을 대상으로 실증조사를 실시하였다.
음식을 선택할 때 가장 중요하게 생각하는 것으로 젊은 층에서는 맛으로 조사되었으며, 장년층에서는 영양을 중요하게 생각하는 것으로 조사되었다.
선호하는 음식에 대한 조사에서는 모든 연령에서 한식이라 답하였으며, 선호하는 맛에 대해서는 각 나라가 선호하는 전통적인 맛을 아직까지 잊지 못하고 음식을 준비할때 그 맛 위주로 간을 하고 있는 것으로 나타났다.
