IT outsourcing has been considered one of strategic alternatives for the purpose of rapidly responding to changing business environment and enhancing their competitiveness.
Recognizing that IT outsourcing project has suffered from a high failure rate because of
its inappropriate risk management, this study focuses on the development of risk management model for IT outsourcing project as a way to ease potential project risks.
This study suggests that project environment risks are associated with project management risks, which in turn influences project performance. In conclusion, theoretical and practical implications of the study are discussed along with its limitations.
