This research aims to identify the tendency of environmental support to the children in low-income family and its effects on their emotional and behavioral problems. The research subjects were 246 low-income family children in Gwangyang The data analysis was carried out by SPSS Win 15.0. This is the summarized result of the research. General tendency of the children in low-income family: On average, Family's support got 3.94, peer's got 3.44, teacher's got 3.26, and local children center's got 3.69 ranking higher than the average. In the respect of children's emotional and behavioral problems, the environmental support to low-income family caused significant difference to the family's and peer's support. On the other hand, to the teacher's support, it leads meaningful difference in emotion-control aspect only. Moreover, to the local children center's support, it did not make any significant difference. Since the family's support and children's emotion and behaviors are highly correlated, the bigger family's support is, the less impulsive and compulsive children are. Besides, rejection has great impact in the respect of peer's support. Seeing the above results, environmental support to the children in low-income family is identified to influence on children's emotional and behavioral problems. That is, children who perceive that they are getting higher environmental supports have less emotional and behavioral problems. However, in case of the local children center regarding local welfare environment, it has no meaningful influence and impact on children's emotional and behavioral problems. Therefore the programs that help children emotionally should be created and strengthened.

이 연구는 저소득가정의 주변을 둘러싸고 있는 환경적인 지지의 일반적인 경향과 아동의 정서·행동문제에 미치는 영향력을 파악하여 저소득가정 아동의 적응력을 높이기 위한 방안을 모색해 보고자 한다. 이 연구의 대상자는 G시에 위치한 14개 지역아동센터를 이용하는 246명의 아동을 대상으로 하였으며 작성된 설문지는 SPSS/win 15.0 programe을 이용하여 분석하였다. 이 연구의 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 저소득가정 아동의 일반적 경향은 가족지지, 또래지지, 교사지지 지역아동센터지지는 모두 중간 이상의 점수를 보였다. 환경적 지지의 경우, 가족지지와 또래지지에 따라서 아동의 정서·행동문제에 유의미한 차이가 있었으며, 교사지지에서는 정서억제 부분만 유의미한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났고, 지역아동센터의 지지부분에 있어서는 유의미한 차이를 나타내지 못하였다. 저소득가정 아동의 정서·행동문제에 대한 환경들의 영향력을 살펴 본 결과 전체적으로 높은 영향력은 아니지만 유의한 영향력이 있음을 알 수 있었다. 가족지지와 정서·행동 간에는 가장 높은 상관이 나타나 가족지지가 높을수록 충동적이거나 강박적인 특성이 낮다는 것을 보여주었다. 또한 친구지지에 대하여 거부·버림에 대한 영향력이 많다는 것을 보여주었다. 이상의 연구 결과 저소득가정 아동의 환경적 지지는 아동의 정서·행동문제에 영향을 미치지만 지역아동센터지지는 유의미한 영향력이 밝혀지지 않아 지역사회내 서비스 기관을 이용하고 있는 아동에게 정서적인 지지를 제공하기 위한 질적인 프로그램이 강화되어야 할 것이며, 고위험 상황에 있는 저소득가정 아동들의 정서·행동문제를 감소시키기 위하여 가족기능 강화와 또래향상 프로그램 등을 지원해야 할 것이다.
