Abstract : The 21th century is characterized by the typical phenomena, for example, the deterritorialization of the capital, the decivilization since the end of the ideological conflicts, the dehierachical communication based upon the technological big leap, the radical change of the understanding about human being by the outbursting progress of the biotechnology and first of all ‘the change of the life space according to the a-lineal and a-hierarchical referential relation between the senses. This corresponds to the situation of the nomads who on the one hand follow the ways without the goal in the open space and on the other get into the rhythm, according to which they reterritorialize by deterritorializing. What counts in the contemporary nomadic life space is not ‘with which destination’ or ‘which life’, but ‘in what procedure’ and ‘in which way of method’. Coincident with this situation this study aims at the explication of the fundamentalontology of the nomadic life space and makes an attempt to examine into the spatial characteristics of the Mongolian Ger as the typical form of the nomadic life space and its modern appilicablity.

요약: 현재의 사회는 소위 ‘비선형적이고 비위계적인 감각들 간의 지시연관에 기초한 생활공간의 변화’라는 기본 특징을 지니고 있다. 이는 목표지점과 완결된 하모니가 아니라 전제된 조건과 미리 규정된 제한이 없이 열려진 공간 내에서 끝없이 영토를 떠나 길을 가면서 끝없이 새로 영토를 만들어가는 리듬을 체현하는 노마드들의 생활공간과 유사하다. 이러한 상황에서 노마드적 생활공간의 기초존재론적 함의를 해명하고 이를 기초로 노마드적 생활공간의 전형인 몽골 게르의 공간구성적 특성들과 이의 현대적 적용가능성을 살펴보는 일은 현대의 노마드적 사회로의 발전에 대한 공간기획적 제안이라는 의미를 가질 것이다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 노마드적 생활공간의 기초존재론적 의미를 규명하고 이를 기초로 몽골 게르의 공간구성적 특성들과 현대적 적용가능성을 해명하는 작업이 이루어진다. 이를 위해 이동공간의 생성과 발전에 관한 역사적 배경, 즉 발전과정을 살펴본 후에 이동가능한 공간에 대한 개념과 특성을 도출해내고 이동주거공간의 유형과 이용양태를 분석한다. 그리고 이동성에 기반한 몽골이동주거 게르의 역사적 발전과 이용양태, 또한 게르의 종류과 구조 적용을 고찰한 후에 이러한 작업의 결과를 본 논문의 말미에서 현대의 노마드들 중의 한 부류라고 할 수 있는 청소년들을 위한 공간디자인에 잠정적으로 적용하는 작업이 이루어진다.
