ABSTRACT: The purpose of this study was to seek for the vitalization plan to contribute to maximization of use of youth facilities and reasonable operation of them by grasping the status and use state of them and analyzing the requirements of youths. For this, the use state of youth facilities were investigated and youths who use them were analyzed by interviewing with them. The research result has found that the youths give the youth facilities a positive meaning that they are helpful to them in the aspects of interest in local areas, sociality and personal relations as the places that they obtain practical knowledges about their interests or career from them and felt uncomfortable to use them because equipments or spaces of them became superannuated and they are not suitable for their culture. Also, they suggested the various programs, reinforcements of facilities which are suitable for their requirements, extension of spaces and quantitative expansion, continuous program update which is suitable for changeable culture of the youths and promotion reinforcement. The study suggested the plan to vitalize the local youth facilities such as building of the integrated system that support the activities of the youths, expansion of professionals, building the portal sites to provide the integrated information service for the activities of the youths, establishment of the specialized youth facilities which reflect the local characteristics in them, the necessity of the development of various programs and businesses necessary for cultivation of global talented persons, etc. through this result.

요약 : 본 연구는 평택시 청소년수련시설 현황과 이용실태를 파악하고 청소년들의 요구도를 분석함으로써 평택시 청소년수련시설의 이용 극대화와 합리적 운영에 기여하기 위한 활성화 방안을 모색하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 이를 위해 평택시 청소년수련시설을 이용하는 청소년을 대상으로 면담을 실시하여 분석하였다. 연구 결과 청소년들은 수련시설이 자신의 관심분야나 진로에 대한 산지식을 얻고 체험하는 곳으로서 지역에 대한 관심과 사회성 및 대인관계 면에서 도움을 주는 긍정적인 의미를 부여하였으며, 수련시설 장비나 공간이 노후화되고 청소년의 문화에 맞지 않아 이용에 불편함을 느끼고 있었다. 또한 프로그램의 다양화와 청소년 요구에 맞는 시설의 보강, 공간 확장 및 양적 확충, 변화하는 청소년문화에 맞는 지속적인 프로그램 업데이트, 홍보강화 등을 제안하였다. 이러한 결과를 통해 청소년활동지원 통합 시스템의 구축과 전문인력의 확충, 청소년활동종합정보서비스 제공을 위한 포털 사이트 구축, 지역적 특성을 반영한 특성화된 청소년시설 건립 등 지역 청소년수련시설의 활성화 방안을 제안하였다.
