The effects of essential Aroma Oil on Immuno-Antibody Activation

For centuries, fragrance had beneficial hematological and antibody effects on humans. Aromatherapy, the use of concentration essential oils extracted from herbs, flower, and other
parts of plants to treat various disease, is becoming more commonly accepted within the
health service. However, there are very few published articles, which provide a sound rationale for use of aromatherapy as a medical intervention. The purpose of this study was to find a scientific examination for the effect of aromatherapy by investigating. 1)whether or not essential aroma oil caused increased Leukocyte. 2)which areas Pheripheral blood were activated of Antibody. Autoblood cell counter which is capable of monitoring and recording Leukocyte flocculation in pheripheral Blood was performed on 10 healthy adults female during exposure to essential; aroma oil(Chemomaile). The Wright staining was also performed on peripheral blood smear after exposure aroma oil.
In the antibody activated study, the Leukocyte count was increased (activated) by essential
oil. Additionally immumoreactive cell(lymphocyte) were detected by essential oil.
The caemomile oil activated leukocyte not only the lymphocyte increasing but also the antibody reproduction of pheripheral blood.
