Effects of surfactant on the physicochemical stability to soybean fatty acid in hand cream

Soybean fatty acid, the largest byproduct in the production of soybean oil, was formulated for hand cream, oil in water emulsion base, to improve the suppleness and elasticity of skin. Several surfactants, Apifil, Gelot 64 and Tefose 2000 were used to prepare o/w emulsion. The
emulsions were oby microscope. Physicochemical properties of oil in water creams containing
soybean oil were observed for 3 weeks under the storage condition of 4℃ refrigerator. But
viscosity was tot changed in the case of tefose 2000. In conclusion, Tefose 2000 is suitable
surfactants for hand cream containing soybean oil.
