This study examines books which were found inside of buddhist statues of Bulgapsa in Yeonggwang, Jeolla-do. The purpose of this paper is to characterize the collections of Bulgapsa according to subjects, periods and regions of publication. Analysis in subjects shows that 󰡔Beophwagyeong󰡕 has the largest number of printed books and that textbooks as teaching materials in temple were mostly involved in the collections. And there are many valuable books such as books with engravings, books translated in Korean and ritual books. Analysis in periods shows that from Goryeo Dynasty to the end of Joseon Dynasty, the collections has steady publication tendency and that in particular, there are many books produced before the Japanese Invasion of Korea in 1592. Analysis in regions indicates books printed in Jeolla-do and Gyeongsang-do occupy the most amounts of publications.

이 연구는 전라남도 영광군 불갑면에 소재한 불갑사 복장품 가운데 불교전적을 대상으로 그 구성과 특성을 밝히는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 우선 불갑사 복장 고문헌의 현황을 파악하였고, 이 중 불교전적에 대하여 주제별, 시대별, 지역별 분석을 수행하여 불갑사 복장불서의 성격을 고찰하였다. 연구 결과, 묘법연화경이 단일경전으로는 가장 많은 종책수를 차지하였고, 강원에서 사용된 강학교재들이 대부분 포함되어 있음을 확인하였다. 또 판화자료, 언해자료, 의식자료에 자료적 가치가 뛰어난 문헌들이 많이 포함되어 있음을 확인하였다. 시기별로는 고려시대로부터 조선시대 임란 이후에 이르기까지 다양한 시기에 걸쳐 전적이 간행되었는데, 특히 임란 이전의 전적이 가장 많은 것으로 나타났다. 지역별로는 전라지역과 경상지역의 사찰에서 간행된 전적이 가장 많은 종수를 차지하였다.
