This study aims to reassess the validity and reliability of the existing development approach for the Gyeongju KTX station area based on the examinations of the recently introduced unexpected changes around the station. In order to accomplish this research objective this study reviews and examines the concept of station area and some case studies about the influence of the opening to KTX over the changes of local industrial structure. Based on the findings from theses analysis this study propose four strategical approaches for the development of Gyeongju KTX station area.
