The strategy for Gyeongju Tourism Actualization based on an Evaluation of Tourism Recognition and Impact Degree for Tourism Activation of the Silver Tourist Destination

The Gyeongju district, selected as the subject of this research possesses not only eternal resources for historic and cultural tourism, but also gifted resources for ecosystem natural tourism. However, it has fallen into a stagnated tourism site with gradually decreasing tourists due to lack of differentiated strategy aimed at rapidly changing tourism market, as described before. Therefore, this research selected Gyeongju as the sample subject as a new target market to revive stagnated Gyeongju with silver tourists, who are rising as the recent prospective potential tourism market under the belief that it is the best proposal to activate Gyeongju as a tourism site. Moreover, based on the results of the evaluation, this paper discusses strategic solutions to activate overall silver tourism, search for the evaluation and Responsiveness of developing silver tourism activation, and then proposes the conclusions as following by judging that finding out this paper's limits is important.
