This aesthetic study on the beauty of Gyeongju city, the ancient capital of Sila Dynasty focuses on the relationship between presence and absence of the city including cultural remains. The presence of monumental relics enlivens the history of Sila Dynasty which are absent now. Based on the relationship, this study investigates the beauty of soft curved lines in natural scenery and the archaic chic of the remains in the aesthetic style, on the other hand, the aesthetic consciousness of quietness and mental peace in the aesthetic substance.
