The purpose of this study is to find how the sexuality, family and motherhood ethic consciousness were in 1930 decades. For this, this thesis is to analyze Kim Yu Jeong and Kang Gyungae's novel in the period of Japanese rule. And we set up the following tree questions for aim of this study. First, how were the social ethical condition in 1930 decades? Second, how were the real aspects and specific characters of family, sex and motherhood ethics in 1930 decades in novels? Third, the novels in 1930 decades shows family, Sex and motherhood ethic consciousness which is different from the First World's ethic conscious and represent colonial realities. Gayatri Spivak showed that colonial discourse and feminism discourse were linked, and that Western feminism had a racial limit, so it could not be applied to the women of the Third World. Kim Yu Jeong and Kang Gyungae was representative writers in 1930s, the period when the nation suffered economic plundering under the reign of Japanese imperialism. They saw the poverty in farm and town under the colony and represented the ethic of survival. In 1930 decades, the farmers collapsed and the life of the people at lower classes became poorer as the agricultural economy, the founding industry, was destructed due to the economic exploitation of Japan. And sexuality also was a target with an exchangeable value for solving the problem of poverty for women whose existence itself was under threat by patriarchal colonial capitalism. Parernts' attitude toward their children was regarded their children as the property of the parents. and the members of a family were subject to the family and should do their best for continuation and development of the family. The sense of family put a great value on the family. The relationship of parents and children were regarded as relation of surbordination. And impoverished financial situation during 1930 decades placed heavy emphasis on the mother's effort to support his family. At that time, mother's life was the one suffered doubly, which means feudalistic oppression which structuralized the gender discrimination as well as the oppressionstemmed from the reality of colonization.
