The main purpose of this study is to analyze women related description in the 7th education course of the high school Korean history textbook on a gender equality point of view. Chapter II will conduct an analysis on the appearance frequency ratio of women in the textbook and concrete description on women appeared in the textbook. In Chapter III, we will review the characteristic of women related description by field such as Politics, Economy, Society and Culture. And through the problem recognition of description in the textbook, we will seek for
improvements if any. Lastly, from Chapter IV, we will give a consideration on whether or not gender equal description in the textbook is inherent through gender equality point of view.
