This paper investigates the effectiveness of far infrared ray radiators and TDP devices on the hair loss. A clinic-based research is conducted to evaluate the performance of each therapy to apply the result to hair loss treatment programs. Subjects of the research are 445(233 male, 221 female) visitors of researcher's scalp-care center from 2006.1 to 2008.12. All subjects more of less have hair-loss symptoms. According to the relative amount of telogen-stage hair, subjects are categorized into 3 groups. (15～35%: - normal, 35～45%: serious, 45%～: very serious). They are divided again into 2 groups and treatments are applied on their head per once a week and twice a week, respectively. Effects of far IR and TDP are observed after 24 times of treatments. Hair-map is generated by a visual analyzing instrument connected to PC. A microscope on the instrument is used to check the increase/decrease of the number of hair. Results of the research show that the relative amount of increased hair of TDP group is 2.6 % higher than that of far IR group when treatment are applied once a week. When treatments are applied twice a week, the difference is 2.1 %. From these results, we can conclude that TDP is more effective than far IR in hair loss treatments.

본 연구자는 탈모클리닉에서 온열치료효과를 통하여 탈모증을 개선할 목적으로 사용하고 있는 원적외선 조사기와 특정전자파투열치료기(TDP)의 탈모증 개선효과를 임상을 통해 분석하여 효과적인 탈모클리닉 시술에 이용하기위한 목적으로 본 연구를 하였다. 연구 대상자는 2006년 1월부터 2008년 12월까지 탈모증세가 있어 본 연구자의 탈모센터를 방문하여 탈모관리를 받은 남자 233명, 여자 221명 계 454명을 대상으로 하였다. 연구방법은 phototrichogram법을 이용한 모주기 검사법을 사용하여 휴지기 모발비율이 15%～30%를 보통탈모, 30%～45%를 중증탈모, 45%이상을 심각 탈모로 분류하고, 원적외선과 특정전자파를 각각 주1회 주기와 주2회 주기로 총 24회 조사 후 모발변화를 관찰하였다. 모발 증가율은 모주기 검사한 곳을 포함하여 총 3～4개 지점에 접촉 식 입체현미경을 사용하여 영상을 컴퓨터에 입력한 후 화상분석기를 이용하여 모발지도를 작성하였다. 이후 주1회 단위로 동일부위를 촬영 입력한 영상에 대하여 모발지도를 작성하였다. 이것을 최초 모발지도와 비교하여 평균모발개체 수 변화를 분석하였다. 결과는 주1회 주기로 조사한 집단에서는 특정전자파를 조사한 집단에서 모발증가율이 원적외선을 조사한 집단보다 2.6% 높게 나타났다. 또한 주2회 주기로 시술한 집단의 모발증가율은 특정전자파를 조사한 집단이 원적외선 조사 집단보다 모발증가율이 2.1% 높게 나타났다. 이러한 결과로 특정전자파가 원적외선 보다 탈모증 치료에 효과적임을 확인하였다.
