Double-skin Facade's Cooling Effects on Indoor Temperature of Apartment's Room

Recently, the sympathy for the sustainable development is being formed all over the world, and as for Korea, as it is prospected that the burden for the obligation to reduce the greenhouse gases will be weighted during the 2nd public commitment period (2013-2017) as per Climate Change Convention, it is urgent to prepare the actual countermeasure for the energy saving in this
relation. Meanwhile, the remodeling behavior of the apartment, which occupies most of the domestic residential types, has been formed up to expansion of the indoor space through remodeling of the balcony space, and this has occurred the increase of the serious cooling/heating energy load. For this reason, this study will closely examine the problem that such remodeling behavior of the balcony space brings about, and review the application of the double-skin that is recently discussed as the major issue for reduction of the energy load.
