The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of 8 weeks personal exercise rehabilitation program on body composition, blood lipid and insulin resistance in obese middle-aged women with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Subjects were 14 obese female(randomly,7 experimental group and 7control group) with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Body composition improved that BMI, WHR, waist circumference, and hip circumference were significantly lower after than before personal exercise rehabilitation program(p<.05) in experimental group. Blood lipid profile almost no changed in both, but excepted LDL-C in experimental group, which was significantly lower after than before personal exercise rehabilitation program(p<.05). Glucose level showed that it was significantly lower after personal exercise rehabilitation program in control group(p<.001) and in experimental group, although it showed trend of decreasing, it didn't reach the statistical value. Insulin level was no changed in both groups. In conclusion, result of this study indicated that personal exercise rehabilitation program in used this study can improve on body composition (decreased BMI, WHR, waist cirumference, and hip cirumference), blood lipid(decreased LDL-C) and glucose level(decreased concentration). Therefore, we suggest that personal exercise rehabilitation program is positive effects on type 2 diabetes patients with obesity.
